Graphenea joins EPIC
Graphenea is proud to join EPIC – the European Photonics Industry Consortium. With an increasing interest in graphene-based photonics, Graphenea expects to offer new process flows in our Graphene Foundry for advanced photonic devices.
EPIC is the industry association that promotes the sustainable development of organisations working in the field of photonics in Europe. EPIC members encompass the entire value chain from LED lighting, photovoltaic solar energy, photonics integrated circuits, optical components, lasers, sensors, imaging, displays, projectors, optical fibers, and other photonics-related technologies. The association sustains a strong network and acts as a catalyst and facilitator for technological and commercial advancement.
Graphene can play several roles in photonic technologies, such as a detector for light, an optoelectronic transceiver, or as part of high-resolution imaging systems. Graphenea actively participates in development of photonic applications of graphene, making use of our high-quality CVD graphene. We look forward to propelling our presence in the photonics industry, as well as promoting the use of graphene in photonic solutions, through our EPIC membership.
