Graphenea at Graphene Week 2026: Driving Innovation in 2D Materials

Graphenea is proud to announce its upcoming participation in Graphene Week 2026, a premier global gathering for the graphene and 2D materials community. This year, our team will contribute to key discussions, present groundbreaking projects, and showcase our latest advances at our booth.

Already on the first day, Amaia Zurutuza will join an impressive lineup of panellists at the Open Forum: Why graphene matters? (Monday, September 21st, from 18:05). The panel will bring together science, industry, policy and innovation perspectives to explore a fundamental question: why do graphene and 2D materials matter? The discussion will encompass the impact of these materials on scientific discovery, technological competitiveness, industrial applications and Europe's strategic ambitions.

On Wednesday, September 23rd, at the Innovation forum: Commercialisation pitches (Room 2, 16:05), she will pitch the project 2D-FIRE. The pitch will highlight the unique selling points (USPs), market potential, team strengths, and readiness for commercialisation of this vibrant project.

On the same day, in the Auditorium at 11:20, our Alba Centeno will give a talk with the title “Advanced transfer techniques based on wafer scale CVD Graphene for next-generation electronics and photonics applications” as part of the session dedicated to project Next2Digits. The project is focused on transforming integrated photonics through high-speed modulators, photodetectors and optoelectronic systems based on graphene and other 2D materials, for next-generation communication and sensing. Alba will highlight the work carrier out within the project 2D-PL.

On Thursday, September 24th, in Room 2 from 13:30, Amaia Zurutuza will participate in the Innovation Forum: From Lab to Society – Commercialisation Journeys. She will join a strong lineup of panellists from companies to discuss how turning 2D material research into real-world impact requires funding, market insight, persistence and a willingness to step beyond the lab.

Later that day, from 16:50 in Room 2, Amaia participates in the panel discussion “Market Opportunities and Future for 2D Materials”.

Beyond the talks and forums, Graphenea will also host a dedicated booth at Graphene Week 2026. Visitors will have the chance to meet our team, explore our product lines, and learn more about our contributions to the graphene ecosystem.

Graphenea’s presence at Graphene Week 2026 reflects our commitment to advancing the field of 2D materials and serving the graphene community by connecting cutting-edge research with industrial applications.
