Multiproject Wafer Run – affordable high-quality fabrication of custom graphene devices
Graphenea offers Multi Project Wafer (MPW) runs that allow customers to produce their own graphene device designs in small batches at our state-of-the-art graphene foundry. Through a mask-sharing scheme, custom devices in small batches are available at affordable prices. Sharing the cost of fabrication allows to lower the entry barrier for researchers and companies interested in developing graphene-based technologies. We offer a reduced turnaround time compared to conventional MPW runs of just 3 months. The service is ideal for batch prototyping and proof-of-concept validation.
This month, the MPW service is open to requests for biosensor processes. Graphene-based biosensors fabricated through our platform have already been used in cutting-edge research, such as the detection of glial fibrillary acidic protein in patient plasma using on-chip graphene field-effect biosensors (Xu et al. ACS Sens. 2022) and the rapid and accurate detection of pancreatic cancer exosomes in blood plasma samples (Yin et al. ACS Nano 2023). These studies demonstrate the potential of graphene technology in biomedical applications. For more details on the MPW process and for applications, we kindly ask potential customers to refer to our product page. The annual calendar of MPW runs can be seen below.
