Graphenea strengthens research team

Graphenea announces the hiring of Dr. Amaya Ortega, an expert in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, and functionalization, as Scientific Researcher. Dr. Ortega will strengthen Graphenea’s research team, which prides itself in staying at the cutting edge of graphene science and technology.

Dr. Amaya Ortega obtained her PhD in polymer nanocomposites from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) in 2005. After completing her PhD she joined AIMPLAS (Plastic Research Institute, Spain) where she worked as a senior researcher in the field nanomaterials, polymer nanocomposites and polymer functionalization for more than 10 years. She has wide experience as project manager for national and EU projects. At Graphenea, where she has been engaged since November 2015, she works as part of the established team to develop new graphene related materials.
